How to book
There are two ways to book a video consultation with your doctor:
- Book online via HotDoc on our website
- Call reception on (03) 9354 1186 during practice opening hours.
What happens during your Video Consultation
Your consultation with your doctor will take place as normal except on a video connection.
At the start of your consultation you will be welcomed by your doctor and asked to confirm your identity, including:
- Date of Birth
- Address
- Driver’s licence or another type of ID may be requested.
Your doctor will discuss the reason for the consultation and ask you questions in the same way as they would at a face-to-face consultation.
Please note: Emergencies or unforeseen circumstances may cause your doctor to run late, please allow some additional time just in case. If your wait time exceeds 15 minutes please call our friendly reception team on (03) 9354 1186.
Accessing Your Video Consultation
Consultation quick facts:
- You can access your appointment via a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
- Browser types needed – Safari or Google Chrome.
How to access your video consultation
Step 1 – You will receive a link to our ‘virtual waiting room’ at your appointment time.
Step 2 – Enter your details when prompted.
Step 3 – Make sure you click ‘Allow’ when asked for access to your camera and microphone.
Step 4 – Wait for your GP to join the consultation.
